wfmw - celery

When I buy celery I always buy two stalks. One for the ribs for peanut butter and celery or celery gratin or any number of other dishes involving a whole rib. The other is for dicing. I cut off the top and then just dice what I need, putting the rest of the rib away until the next time I need more chopped celery.

Check out Shannon's website for other Works For Me Wednesday ideas.

I had posted a celery tip for WFMW a while back: wash your celery and wrap it tightly in foil, and it will keep for a very long time! (Oh, and I love peanut butter on celery!)

Yummy! Happy Wednesday - our tip is up as well!

I have been using mom2fur's trick and it's great (for onions, too). It's also a great idea to dice up the celery so it's ready to go.

I love peanut butter on celery too, but I never remember to buy celery when I'm shopping! Thanks for the reminder. :)

I've posted a WFMW baptism gift tip. Stop by and take a peek. :)

We do this with celery, onion, red peppers & green peppers. I put them in individual bags & freeze them. Such a time saver!
